1. Telemedicine Systems Development.
2. Space Technologies in Health Application.
1. AI in medicine: past, present and future. Balancing between dreams and reality.
2. Management role in medicine by example of Digital Pathology implementation.
Leading experts give lectures for foreign students in English
The Department of Medical Informatics and Telemedicine of the RUDN Medical Institute holds a regular scientific seminar “Modern Aspects of Telemedicine”, during which leading invited experts give lectures in English.
On March 30, professor from Canada Milan Cermak, an expert in the field of telemedicine in extreme conditions and applied space technologies, gave a lecture:
1. Telemedicine Systems Development
2. Space Technologies in Health Application

We discussed the prospects for cooperation in the field of telemedicine, which is a step towards the exchange of experience and technologies with remote support from the teaching staff of RUDN for a second diagnosis in complex cases and conducting master classes on diagnostics and operations.
On April 1, Mikhail Genis, an expert in medical management and strategic consulting, gave two lectures:
1. AI in medicine: past, present and future. Balancing between dreams and reality.
2. Management role in medicine by example of Digital Pathology implementation.
We looked at the history of the development of artificial intelligence in medicine, forecasts regarding the use of Al in medicine, problems of surgical pathology and ways to eliminate them, and why in some cases treatment does not work.

«We had the pleasure of meeting with Mikhail Genis, who talked with us about AI and it’s prevalence in medicine and Digitalisation of pathology. His presentations were very interactive and interesting. The information provided was clear and quite easy to understand. As medical students it was very useful learning how AI has impacted healthcare and the possible benefits it continues to have in not only medicine but other areas», — Tinashe Adiola Duri, 5th year General Medicine
«The presentation was captivating, shedding light on its transformative potential across industries. It’s fascinating to see how AI is reshaping our world, in healthcare industries , with promises of a smarter, more sustainable future», — Mohammad Osama Bittar, 5th year General Medicine
