28 марта 2024 года на базе кафедры биохимии имени академика Т.Т. Березова состоялся открытый мастер-класс на английском языке для студентов 4-5 курсов медицинского института РУДН. Участниками мероприятия стали студенты, обучающиеся по специальностям «Лечебное дело» и «Стоматология».
Мастер-класс на тему: «Understanding a population in health transition: From infectious diseases to non-communicable diseases (Observation from Ghana over the past decades)» провел Николас Экоу Томфорд, заведующий отделением биохимии клинической базы Университета Кейп-Коста (Гана). Участники обсуждали изменения в структуре заболеваемости в странах с переходной экономикой на примере Ганы: от инфекционных заболеваний к неинфекционным хроническим болезням.
Мероприятие прошло в очном формате и позволило студентам расширить свои знания в области глобального здравоохранения, узнать о переходных процессах в медицинской практике и обсудить интересующие вопросы с международным экспертом.
On March 8, 2024, an open master class in English for 4th-5th year students of Institute of Medicine at the RUDN University was held at the T.T. Berezov Department of Biochemistry. The event was attended by students studying in the specialties of «General Medicine» and «Dentistry».
The master class on the topic: «Understanding a population in health transition: From infectious diseases to non-communicable diseases (Observation from Ghana over the past decades)» was conducted by Dr. Nicholas Ekow Tomford, Head of the Department of Biochemistry at the Clinical Base at the University of Ghana. Participants discussed changes in the structure of morbidity in countries with economies in transition using Ghana as an example: from infectious diseases to non-communicable chronic diseases.
The event was held in person and allowed students to expand their knowledge in the field of global health, learn about transition processes in medical practice and discuss issues of interest with an international expert.
