On April 4-5, 2025, the international congress of young scholars titled «Traditions and Innovations in the Modern Russian Legal System» took place at O. E. Kutafin Moscow State Law University (MSAL).
As part of the congress, within the track «Global Trends in the Development of Public and Private Law,» Section 1 focused on «Legal Issues of Medical Law.» Students from the Patrice Lumumba Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia’s Medical Institute presented their research. M. D. Andrianova, S. M. Gavrich, and K. A. Tretyakova delivered presentations on topics including «The Distribution of Risk Factors During the Initial Survey in the Dental Clinic,» «Modern Challenges in the Legal Regulation of the Transportation of Pathogenic Microorganisms and Bacterial Strains from Foreign Countries,» and «An Analysis of the Legal Framework Governing Healthcare Systems in Russia and Turkey.»
In their presentations, the students highlighted the significance of «implied consent,» which pertains to decision-making and ensuring that the actions of medical institution staff align with patient interests. They also discussed the proper transportation and storage of pathogenic microorganisms from Groups I-IV imported from abroad, as well as how international legal norms are integrated into the federal laws of the Russian Federation. Furthermore, they compared the healthcare systems of Russia and Turkey in relation to medical procedures and the practices of doctors from different countries.
Special thanks were extended to Natalia Fedorovna Ezhova and Olga Aleksandrovna Kadilina for supervising the students. Appreciation was also expressed to the dedicated team at MSAL, including Nadezhda Yuryevna Ilyina, Svetlana Vasilievna Guzeeva, Marina Anatolyevna Medvedeva, and Nayana Igorevna Gazina.
