A delegation from the Medical Institute of RUDN University visited Cuba. Nine third-year students from Russia, Iran, Lebanon, Sri Lanka, and Yemen, studying General Medicine, completed a training and practical cycle in Pathological Anatomy, which included visits to clinical bases in Havana. The program consisted of lectures and practical sessions.
Anastasia Ivina delivered lectures to Cuban students and faculty, as well as presented the educational programs of the Institute of Medicine at RUDN. Particular interest was shown in opportunities for international students and prospects for joint research projects.
Additionally, negotiations were held with Cuban medical universities and representatives of the Cuban Ministry of Health. A letter of intent was signed to establish a consortium of Russian and Cuban medical universities. The leading institution in Russia will be the Institute of Medicine at RUDN, while in Cuba, it will be the University of Medical Sciences of Havana.
