Foreign Languages Department of RUDN Institute of Medicine hosted interuniversity student scientific seminar “Academic discourse: translation tactics, traditions and trends” which for two hours united 113 participants who listened to 18 speakers and took active part in discussion.
Foreign Languages Department started New Academic Year by student scientific seminar with 18 presentations on different academic topics. 113 participants of RUDN Institute of Medicine and Russian Kosygin State University students and teachers took part. Working languages of the seminar were English and French.
Students introduces different research. For instance, 1st year student of Dental Medicine Iya Pianykh collected five essential statics for translation Medical Conferences, where she highlighted that a translator should check the vocabulary up in advance and be ready to question the reporter to avoid essential mistakes during the translation.
