Interuniversity Seminar on Foreign Languages “Multimodal Texts as an Integral Part and Strategic Component of Modern Communication” organized by Foreign Languages department of RUDN Institute of Medicine.
An interuniversity seminar hosted by the Foreign Languages department at the RUDN Institute of Medicine took place, with 45 students and faculty members in attendance. The working languages of the seminar were English, French, and German.

The seminar aimed to draw attention to the role of researching multimodal texts in an intercultural context for students of the RUDN Institute of Medicine and the Federal State Autonomous Educational Institution of Higher Education “State University of Education.”
This goal was achieved through the following objectives:
1) Developing practical and linguistic skills for conducting research in contemporary linguistics;
2) Facilitating the removal of language and cultural barriers;
3) Raising awareness about the importance of studying multimodal texts to enhance the impact of messages in intercultural communication.

The practical significance of the seminar lies in the formation of foreign language communicative competencies when examining and interpreting multimodal texts. During the discussions, topics related to language learning in both formal and informal contexts were addressed, which helped increase confidence in using foreign languages in professional and personal settings.
The seminar included 17 presentations in both group and individual formats, contributing to the development of intercultural communication skills and professionally oriented foreign language communicative competence in the field of linguistics.
