
On October, 22 students of Foreign Languages Department, Institute of Medicine presented two reports in round table “Young researchers explore natural language metaphysics”. The discussion was held within the 5th International Science Conference on Universal and National features of Natural Language Ontology (Minsk, Belarus).
The first report “HUMORISTIC COMPREHENSION OF IVAN PAVLOV’S HERITAGE IN ENGLISH AND FRENCH” prepared by Anton Yu. Gospodar, Ekaterina A. Tamashevich and Laura Vandenheide focused on a joky use of «Pavlov’s dog» expression in French and English languages.
The second report “INTRODUCING NEOLOGISMS TO FRENCH MEDICAL TERMINOLOGY” prepared by Elisabeth K. Arhangelskaya and Angelina E. Kudrina studied the role of French Academy in new terms creation and their implementation in medical and media discourse.
Students presented their reports in English and French. Organizers and participants of the round table questioned our students about their research and welcomed to participate in further Belarus conferences.
