Online Olympiad on Austrian Studies «Typisch Österreichisch»-2025

From April 21 to 24, 2024, a remarkable event took place that showcased the cultural and linguistic richness of Austria: the online Olympiad on Austrian Studies, titled “Typisch Österreichisch 2025.” This event was organized by the Regional Public Organization “Society of Friendship with Austria,” with support from the Austrian Institute and the Austrian Library in Moscow. 

A total of 39 students from the Institute of Medicine participated in this unique Olympiad aimed at promoting interest among residents of Russia in learning the German language, as well as understanding and appreciating the culture and traditions associated with the Austrian dialect.

The primary objective of the Olympiad was to create favorable conditions for enhancing motivation and interest among Russian residents towards studying the German language. Additionally, it aimed to foster a deeper understanding of Austrian culture, which is rich in history and tradition. By participating in such events, students not only improve their language skills but also gain insights into the customs and social practices of Austria.
